Ascent of Mount Gede Pangrango

The experience that I will never forget when mountaineering. The plan made a month before the ascent, at that time I was still confused between participating or not because this is my first pengalama in ascent and finally I decided to participate in the big mountain climbing pangrango, all the paperwork has been taken care of the same nature and here my brother ordered to prepare physically and climbing equipment. My first new climbing equipment to climb even then I have not had my immediate call my friend who often perform automatic climbing equipment he has to climb. Fortunately, my friend had the equipment I needed such as carrier bags, shoes, headlamp, sleeping bag, mattress and others. All climbing equipment have been collected all stay physically prepared wherein each morning always do jog and always maintain a healthy body.

In this ascent the planning involved climbing around nine people, but when the day of his who took only six where the other person is absent for various reasons. Time was set off Thursday night at 08:00 was already in Bogor station, before me there from morning till evening lecture followed by a practicum, completion of practicum around 06.30 at night and the weather was still drizzling and I immediately rushed home to packing with a short time , plus jammed streets and roads that I've been through flooded. Arriving home I immediately move quickly to prepare something that needs to be taken and I did not have time to eat through my parents to equip food.

Bogor station I think the others are waiting but actually the opposite me who wait for them till about 1 hour. After all together and I and others went directly to Cibodas entrance ascent, arriving there, I and the other resting in camp before making the climb. In the morning and when the atmosphere is still dark, we were prepared to do the climb, before that we pray first for safety in climbing. We then set out and in the first post to be checked by the manager, after checking we continue the ascent. After passing through some of the post we were rested to eat, while preparing to make a meal even though the rain came down when the weather is sunny and there we immediately disposable raincoats that we do not experience a great kedingan (hypothermia), then we make a tent. Once finished eating, the time already during the day we rushed to continue the climb although it was still raining, on the way to arrive at the post rhino enclosure where the last post to the top of the rain continues to fall accompanied by lightning. Until the rhino enclosure at the post has been filled with tents many hikers and we immediately look for a place to set up camp. We want to climb to the top of our pangrango canceled because the more extreme terrain and hiking trails are further away from the big peaks to get to the peak. Kepuncak climbing big mountains we proceed 03:00 hours. Not all of us who continue the climb to the summit, only three people who continue the climb and three other people waiting in the tent.

Journey to the summit of the mountain is big for three hours, in climbing terrain we passed quite extreme, there is one which we must pass a vicious incline where the ramp has a slope of about 90 degrees, to get through it we must hold on to the rope. After going through extreme terrain we finally reached the top of the mountain is big and then I could not many words I can say only so much gratitude to God Almighty for any creature that has been given and not a single man puffed up with what he already has and it shall we have a lot to be thankful all the blessings that God has given to us. This is all the experience that I will never forget and if there is a chance I want to climb to another place with great views are offered each of us to summit the mountain.
